The world is mourning the tragic loss of former Columbus Blue Jackets all-star Johnny Gaudreau.

Johnny and his brother Matthew were struck by a vehicle near their home in Salem County, New Jersey, on Thursday night. Unfortunately, both Johnny and Matthew passed away as a result of the accident.
In a recent instagram post Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield made an extremely classy gesture to pay homage to the late Johnny Gaudreau.
Caufield wore #22 last season for the Habs, but once upon a time, Caufield wore number 13 because of the player who was his inspiration, his model, the man who helped him believe that he could be a star in the NHL no matter how short he was: Johnny Gaudreau.
Tonight, Caufield announced his own tribute, going back to wearing number 13. He wrote a touching message on his Instagram which included the following:
This an extremely classy move by the young Habs forward. Its very clear what kind of person Johnny Gaudreau was. Jets Latest would like to tip their cap to this amazing gesture by young Cole Caufield.
