Breaking news out of Flames Nation as they have signed veteran Tyson Barrie to a PTO
The rumours have been electrifying regarding Tyson Barry the past few weeks. Hockey analysts were predicting that a PTO could be in effect, and the announcement has just been made official.
Tyson Barrie is trying to revive his career after struggling to gain traction with the Nashville Predators. Hockey analysts still believe that Tyson Barrie has some upside left to his game, but wasn't the right fit in Nashville. He spent 2023-24 season with the Nashville Predators and played 41 games scoring a mere goal and 14 assists.
The Flames aren't predicted to be a playoff contender this season, but the opportunity to help rebuild his game in the Canadian prairies is a game changer for Barrie
According to Nick Horwat of SI, Calgary almost has a complete defensive roster, but it's not out of the question that Barrie can come in and steal a depth role. As a solid puck mover who shoots right, the Flames have a great option to enter the lineup if he impresses at camp.
