Dubois is making headlines again today as the Los Angeles Kings have confirmed they have traded Dubois away to the Washington Capitals. But when looking back on the trade the Jets made with LA, lets refresh ourselves on what the swap entailed:
"The Kings who traded Gabriel Vilardi, Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari and a 2nd round pick (37th overall from Montreal) in the upcoming 2024 NHL entry draft. The Kings clearly believed in Dubois, and signed him to a massive 8-year, 68 million dollar extension. So looking back at this trade from almost 1 year ago, the Jets were 100% winners. It'll be interesting to track how the rest of Dubois' career goes from here"

Pierre-Luc Dubois played a total of three mediocre seasons in Winnipeg. Jets enthusiasts around the league can rest assured they got rid of a problematic player who wasn't able to live up to the hype. In his last season for Winnipeg, Dubois notched 27 goals and 36 assists for 63 points in 73 games. Can a change of scenery help get his game going again?
