The Winnipeg Jets are looking to generate some much needed offence ahead of the 2024-25 season.
While the team has proven to be defensively sound, TSN's Frankie Corrado describes the Jets offence being a "middle of the pack" team and anticipates the Jets bottom 6 group to step up.
Among the Jets bottom 6, one noteworthy player to keep an eye on is Morgan Barron.
Morgan Barron has become a nice part of the Jets' bottom six over the last two years. During this past season, he posted 11 goals, 18 points, and 122 hits. While he is becoming a solid NHLer, it is fair to wonder if his offensive game can hit a new level in 2024-25. Keep in mind, he is still only 25 years old.
Although Barron has proven to be solid physically, the 2024-25 season marks an important one for Barron.
GM Kevin Chevldayoff has taken a backseat this offseason concerning UFA signings with the idea that his prospects within the Jets AHL affiliate will be making a jump to the NHL.
Despite being a physical asset for the team, Barron will seriously need to generate more offence if we wants to secure his position on the Jets bottom 6 moving forward.
