We can all agree that Hellebuyck's number 37 is going to be retired by the Jets someday after he calls it quits.

Let's start by recapping his career to this point:
2023-24 Season: GP-60 W-37 SO-5 GAA-2.39 SV%-.921
Career: GP-505 W-275 SO-37 GAA-2.63 SV%-.917

NAHL Goaltender of the Year (2012)
Hockey East All-Rookie Team (2013)
Hockey East Second All-Star Team (2013)
Hockey East First All-Star Team (2014)
NCAA East First All-American Team (2014)
Played in NHL All-Star Game (2018, 2020, 2023, 2024)
NHL Second All-Star Team (2018)
NHL First All-Star Team (2020, 2024)
Jets franchise record holder for games played as a goalie - 505
Jets franchise record holder for wins - 275
Jets franchise record holder for total saves - 15402
Jets franchise record holder for shutouts - 37
Now, let's look at some other accomplishments and some things coming up in the near future for him:
7th all time in wins amongst American-born goalies.
He needs just 124 wins to pass Ryan Miller for most wins among American goalies all-time. At a pace of 33 wins a season (this is a conservative number as he has hit over 40 wins only once and is currently on pace to finish with 38 wins if he continues to play at his current pace and finishes with 60 games played this season), he will pass Miller in 3.75 seasons. It will take even less time if he outperforms my projection of 33 wins per season like he's on course to this year. Depending on how long Jonathan Quick plays (covered below), by end of the 2027-2028 season, he could have that record in his grasp, if he hasn't already passed him. Hellebuyck will still have 3-4 years remaining on his contract to add to that total.
Miller is currently sitting in 15th on the all-time NHL goalie wins list (391). There are only 3 goalies that will realistically have a chance to pass Miller on the chart that are still active and have more wins than Hellebuyck. Jonathan Quick is 3 wins away from tying Miller (and after extending with NYR, will add to his total when he passes Miller this season), Frederick Andersen (if he's able to overcome the health issues, but even then I'm not sure he has 100+ wins left in him) is at 286 wins, and Andrei Vasilevskiy is at 284. The cut-off for the top 10 on the goalie wins list is 423, held by Tony Esposito, that is only 32 wins more than Miller's number.
If the team remains relatively competitive, Hellebuyck could enter the top 10 in all time goalie wins during his current contract.
