The NHL predictions are going full steam ahead this week as the debut of the highly anticipated 2024-2025 season is rapidly approaching.

Josh Morrissey is considered to be the Winnipeg Jets best defenseman by a clear mile. He was a runner up for the Norris Trophy last season and is considered to be the 5th best NHL contract in terms of value. In addition to being a capable stay at home defender, he poses as an offensive threat as well.
Morrissey, ever since he was encouraged and empowered by now-retired head coach Rick Bowness to jump up in the play and produce more offence, has become a dish master from the blue line.
The now-29 year old led the team in apples in each of the past two seasons, with 59 last season and 60 in 2022-23. Considering he had 12 more than Mark Scheifele last season, 11 more than Connor in 2022-23, and that he's cemented himself as one of the NHL's elite offensive defenceman, we feel confident predicting Morrissey three-peating as assists leader.

Morrissey is yet again projected to lead the Winnipeg Jets in assists next season. Fans also seem confident that next season will also be the year Morrissey wins the coveted Norris Trophy. Will he be able to do it? Only time will tell.
