Former Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little could potentially be one of the heartbreaking stories of Jets 2.0 history.

Many Jets enthusiasts will remember the night of Nov. 5, 2019. The Winnipeg Jets were at home, playing a game against the New Jersey Devils when the most gut wrenching scene occurred. Beloved forward Bryan Little was unfortunately caught in the cross-fire, taking a blistering slap shot to the head by teammate Nikolaj Ehlers. An amazing career, gone in the blink of an eye.
He was first taken to Winnipeg's St. Boniface Hospital to receive stitches to fix the huge cut the impact opened, then was transferred to the Health Sciences Centre's neurological unit for observation. He was later diagnosed with a brain bleed, concussion, and a perforated eardrum that required surgery.

Little was one week away from his 33rd birthday and one week removed from scoring the overtime game winner at the 2019 Heritage Classic in Regina versus the Calgary Flames, which turned out to be his final NHL goal.

The longtime Winnipeg Jets veteran deserved far better than the terrible fate he suffered that night. Although his career was cut short, there have been rumours of a one day contract being signed in order to pay homage to Little.
Jets fans are eagerly awaiting the news of commemorative ceremony in order to pay tribute to the contributions Little made to the Jets 2.0 era.
