Breaking news from Sportsnet as they have officially announced Kyle Bukauskas will be replacing Jeff Marek on Elliote Friedman's 32 thoughts podcast.

The former beloved sports reporter Jeff Marek was the subject of some heavy scrutiny and intense investigation during the 2024 NHL entry draft in las Vegas. According to reports, Marek revealed to a friend which players teams were drafting moments before those picks were publicly announced.
The NHL shared concerns about the situation with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which probed further, according to multiple sources briefed on that investigation. As a result of this, Marek was swiftly discharged by Sportsnet.
Today, it was announced that Kyle Bukauskas has found a new permanent roll on Friedman's 32 Thoughts Podcast and will be Marek's replacement moving forward. Kyle Bukauskas commented on his personal excitement heading into his new endeavour:
"Well yeah, it's going to be a fascinating experience, because I think I'm one of the last people in the media world to not have done anything podcast-related. Yes, I took my sweet time getting to this point. But yes, it's going to be a change of mindset for sure. You're so used to go on television on Saturdays, you've got, at max, maybe a minute to try to hit on a couple of different points and so you're trying to be as concise as possible."

Fans can now listen in on a fresh voice on Friedman's 32 thoughts Podcast. Personally, I think Kyle Bukauskas will be great in his new role. He's always been a fun presence on television and will surely bring fans a new outlook on hockey.
