As per the CBA, Johnny Gaudreau's wife will be paid his full salary in full starting on November 1st.

Johnny and his brother Matthew were struck by a vehicle near their home in Salem County, New Jersey, on Thursday night. Unfortunately, both Johnny and Matthew passed away as a result of the accident. With that being said, what comes next for Gaudreau's family?
Following Gaudreau's death, his wife Meredith and their children will automatically receive continued health coverage for six months. During this period, the NHL club will cover the premiums for Gaudreau's dependents. After these six months, the family has the option to purchase continued coverage through COBRA for an additional 36 months or to transition to a retired player plan, depending on Johnny's eligibility at the time of his passing.

Additionally, the CBA ensures that dependents can maintain their current level of coverage during this initial period. If they need to make changes to their plan, they can do so without waiting for the next open enrollment period. Furthermore, the agreement includes provisions for dependent children to remain covered until age 26, even if there is no surviving parent eligible for coverage.

Despite this being the most horrific time of her life, its reassuring to know that she will be taken care of financially.
In addition to that, a GoFundMe has been started for the family of younger brother Matthew Gaudreau to help offset some of the burden. Jets Latest sends their sympathies to the Gaudreau family.
