Kevin Cheveldayoff has words for all Jets prospects

The buzz around the Winnipeg Jets prospects has been electric all offseason long.
This year might be the most exciting season in recent memory to be a Winnipeg Jets prospect. Obviously, Kevin Cheveldayoff made no big splashes during free agency. With that being said, he made a pretty impactful statement during the 2024 NHL entry draft.
"If you're a young player in our organization right now," he said. "it's all in front of you and there for the taking."
Kevin Cheveldayoff seems to have a new strategy heading into the 2024-25 season. Instead of looking externally to recruiting UFA's, Chevy is betting all of his chips on his young prospects within the Jets AHL affiliate farm system. Recently, the Jets GM spoke to his enthusiasm regarding the development of his prospects, specifically Brad Lambert and Nikita Chibrikov.
"I thought it was a great year for both of them," he said. "Brad took a great step and Chibrikov came over from Russia. He's an energy type of player that has great skill. Both guys look to factor into our equation sooner rather than later."
Kevin Cheveldayoff has his eyes on the Jets prospect to push the organization forward. The pressure is on for the young guns to produce and to utilize this golden opportunity this upcoming season.
