NHL enthusiasts are buzzing regarding all their offseason trade speculation.

Winnipeg Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has been historically known to being patient and timely with his blockbuster trades.
Although these trades might not come to fruition during the offseason, Jets can potentially expect these 3 players to be moved at any point during the 2024-25 NHL season.
Rutger McGroarty
This one comes as no real shock. Rutger McGroarty has been in the trade mill ever since Elliot Friedman expressed on his 32 thoughts podcast that the disgruntled prospect was "unhappy" with the organization.
Rutger is clearly looking for an opportunity to play in the NHL ASAP and is seeking substantial ice time. Being a top draft pick at #14 overall makes him a prime trade candidate for the Jets. If he proves to have a monster season for the University of Michigan, Cheveldayoff could surely manipulate a trade to help bolster the Jets top 6.
Nikolaj Ehlers
The trade speculation around Nikolaj Ehlers has generated overall mixed reviews in Winnipeg. The beloved Jets forward has been an important part of the franchise since his emergence in the NHL and has generated consistent offensive firepower.
His high skill level and scoring prowess would undoubtedly attract significant interest from contending teams looking for an immediate boost to their offense. The question remains: Will the Jets opt for a short-term rental or capitalize on his value through a trade?
Alex Iafallo
Alex Iafallo is arguably the most intriguing Jets forward on the trade block. H'es an electrifying skater with tons of offensive potential, but unfortunately hasn't been able to reach his ceiling for the Jets so far. If he fails to produce offensively for the Jets during the 2024-25 NHL regular season, fans can anticipate a deadline departure.
The Jets might seek to acquire draft picks or prospects in return, allowing them to replenish their organizational depth.
