A massive update has been provided regarding Winnipeg Jets prospect Colby Barlow's status on team Canada's world juniors roster.

According to Athletic on X (formally known as twitter) Colby Barlow has been left off the projected roster for team Canada.
Although its not official, it still comes as a massive disappointment to Jets enthusiasts who were eager to see Barlow perform at the highest junior level.
Barlow hasn't had the best showcase for team Canada so far. He failed to generate a point during the 8-6 win against Finland and was left off the roster against Sweden. Chris Peters, a highly respected hockey analyst had this to say about Barlows play against team Finland:
"I wouldn't say that Barlow stood out per se, but he made his presence felt enough times that I wanted to write him up. He's a physical player who lets his opponents know he's there. I think the World Junior pace is a bit ahead of him yet, which is going to be part of what he has to work on to make Canada's roster. That said, he has enough touch on the puck and plays with enough edge that he could play in a lot of different spots in Canada's lineup."
Jets fans will be keeping their eye out for the official Team Canada roster announcement in the coming weeks. Hopefully Colby Barlow will have another opportunity to sway the Canadian coaches when the OHL regular season starts.
