Neal Pionk's top 100 ranking will shock you

A fan survey has been conducted which ranks the top 100 NHL defenceman through the 2023-24 season.
In a shocking fashion, Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk has made the cut ranking 97th overall out of 100 NHL defenders.
The fan survey was conducted by Jfresh, a statistical NHL analytics guru on X (formally known twitter) almost 3000 different voters.
Many Jets enthusiasts seem to be surprised Pionk made the top 100 list as he has been scrutinized the past few seasons for his inconsistencies on the blue line.
Despite flashes of brilliance throughout his career, Pionk needs to fine tune some aspects of his defending in hopes of climbing the rankings next season.
In 82 regular season games last season, Pionk notched 5 goals and 28 assists and was a +9 rating on the ice for the Winnipeg Jets.
