Winnipeg Jets forward Nino Niederreiter took part in an excited ODR game which has made history.
A few days ago, Swiss born NHL'ers Nino Niederreiter, Pius Suter, and Philipp Kurashev took part in the World's Highest Hockey Game at Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, and it was absolutely majestic.
Known as the highest accessible point in Europe, Jungfraujoch is listed as 3,454 meters (11,333 feet) above sea level. Described as a high alpine wonderland of ice, snow, and rock, one can view the Swiss Plateau as far as France on one side and the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand meter peaks, on the other.
The scenery was absolutely incredible as the fellow Swiss countrymen indulged in some good ol' fashioned ODR mountain top fun. Hopefully Nino Niederreiter can take his new found high altitude cardio and transition it into the 2024-25 regular season.
