The 2024-2025 NHL regular season is filled with electrifying storylines, but the best one might be the showcase of the NHL's newest franchise.

The Winnipeg Jets have a new divisional rival coming into the league, and fans can anticipate exciting marquee matchups between the two opponents. Recently, Utah HC have been laying the groundwork for the season series as their media praises Winnipeg's high powered offence. Here's what they had to say:
Scott Arniel, a special teams mastermind, will take over the reins from the retired Rick Bowness in 2024-25, and he's got plenty of firepower in his stock. Mark Scheifele scored 25 goals, part of his 72-point season, and Nikolaj Ehlers added 25 more goals for the Jets.

This team is also notably physical; Dylan DeMelo and Adam Lowry are two names that can score and also throw their weight around. While they may not jump off the page with their strength as much as Colorado or Nashville, Winnipeg certainly boasts the most skill on offence, which can rival even Minnesota's. I wouldn't expect much of a change in the Jets' identity; Utah fans can still expect plenty of offensive fireworks.

Its nice to see some fundamental respect being established by the Jets new divisional opponents. Fans eagerly await the clash between these two talented teams in what should be a highly entertaining season series.
