Uncertainties lie ahead for Fabian Wagner

Fabian Wagner, a highly talented Winnipeg Jets prospect is gearing up for his highly anticipated season with Linköping in the Swedin Hockey League.
During yesterdays Linköping pre season game, Fabian Wagner notched his first preseason goal, lighting up the lamp in impressive fashion.
In the sixth round of the 2022 draft the Jets selected centre Fabian Wagner 175th overall. He has spent the past two seasons since he was drafted playing at various levels in his native Sweden. This season he spent the most time in the top league (Swedish Hockey League) with Linkopings HC playing in 41 games while finishing with one goal and five assists.

Despite his stellar production with Linköping, there are some major uncertainties that lie ahead for the young Swedish prospect regarding his future with the Jets.
During a recent media availibility, Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was asked about Fabian concerning his future with the team:
«We're going to talk about that still. Again we'll see what's best. I think that'll be a topic of discussion as we continue to evaluate what's going to be best for his development. At this point in time we're still probably undecided as to what's going to be best from his camp and our camp.»
The Moose are currently stacked with promising prospects ready to make their pro debut. Between players like Lambert, Lucius & Zhilkin taking up vacant positions on the Moose roster, its unlikely Chevy adds Fabian Wagner to the mix.
Despite not being considered for the upcoming AHL season, Wagner has started the SHL season with flashy play. If Wagner continues to produce, he may force the hand of Jets management regarding a shot within their current farm system. As it stands Wagner will continue his development for Linköping in Sweden.
