Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti seems to be one of the big remaining question marks for the the team this off season.

Cole Perfetti is coming off his most productive season as a Winnipeg Jet so far (19 goals, 38 points in 71 games) and general manger Kevin Cheveldayoff must soon decide what to do regarding his contract.
The former 10th overall pick for the Jets recently finished his three year entry level contract and is poised for a massive increase in pay. Although, the big question remains wether the Jets should sign him longterm or to a bridge deal.
as the cost of extensions for consistent point producers usually rises, even if a bridge deal would lower the AAV in the short term – and give both sides a better idea of the long-term value for the player.

Only Perfetti and his representatives know for sure what he's feeling, though you can understand why he would prefer to see how his usage might change under Arniel before making a long-term commitment.

Signing a bridge deal seems like the likely outcome for Perfetti. With the Jets hiring a new head coach in Scott Arniel, Jets enthusiasts want to know how he performs under a new coaching staff before making an 6-8 year commitment.
