Its no secret that when you live in the Canadian prairies...the travel takes a while.

Recently, and NHL statistic has been released that reveals the overall distance teams will be travelling through the course of the 2024-25 regular season. Although you'd think Winnipeg would rank in the top 3, thats not exactly the case next season.
According to Nestico, the team travelling the furthest this season will be the Dallas Stars - by a long shot. They will fly roughly 6,000 miles further than the No. 2 club, the Florida Panthers.

Winnipeg will own the sixth-most air miles by season's end with approximately 48,200 miles travelled - or nearly 78,000 kilometres, for those Imperially challenged.

The 48,200 miles is tied with Seattle and more than five of the six other Canadian clubs (Edmonton, 50,000). Of the Jets' Central Division opponents, just the Stars and Utah HC travel more than Winnipeg.

Although the Winnipeg Jets aren't in the top 3, theres no dismissing the fact that they have a ton of travelling to do. As it stands, the Winnipeg Jets are ranked 7th in expected travel distance through 2024-2025.
