As we await the debut of the NHL regular season, we take a look at some of the Winnipeg Jets archives for some good ol' fun.

Many fans will remember the night back in 2018 when Dustin Byfuglien got into an altercation with Colarado Avalanche's A.J Greer.
In the dying seconds of the second period Friday night, the gargantuan Winnipeg Jets defenseman went after Colorado Avalanche forward A.J. Greer, who had cross-checked Blake Wheeler moments earlier. Byfuglien fell to the ice with Greer, but then got to his knees and landed several more punches before the officials separated the two combatants.

The Jets blue-liner was assessed five minutes for fighting, as was Greer, but Byfuglien was also handed a 10-minute misconduct and a two-minute minor for unsportsmanlike conduct.
The Jets could sure use some of Byfuglien's grit heading into next season. Although Byfuglien was a certified tough guy, the Jets have a nasty AHL prospect in Tyrel Bauer who is arguably the best fighter the Jets have seen in franchise history.
