Cole Perfetti is one of those Jets players with electrifying offensive capabilities. Newly appointed head coach Scott Arniel has indicated that Cole Perfetti will be expected to play top 6 minutes on the Jets second line. With that being said, the sky is the limit for Perfetti this season and the opportunity is his for the taking.
According to the Hockey Writers, It's more than likely he's a fixture in the top six for this season and many to come, and given the fact he was a near 20-goal scorer last season despite being scratched, he should flourish. There was clearly a disconnect between him and previous head coach Rick Bowness, but with new head coach Scott Arniel seeming excited to work with Perfetti, it should create an environment for him to take that next step in his game.
Although a deal remains to be seen, Cole Perfetti is skating with the club during training camp. With a larger role awaiting him in the Jets top 6, Jets enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting to see how the young forward will perform this season.
