Connor Hellebuyk wins his second Vezina trophy

At the NHL awards yesterday in Las Vegas Nevada, Connor Hellebuyk wins the distinguished honour of winning his second Vezina trophy.

Connor Hellebuyk also won the award in the 2020 season, but has been named the top goaltender of the 2024 season adding to his impressive reputation as one of the all time great goalies of our time.
Hellebuyk is just the 23rd goalie of all time to win the Vezina award multiple times, and he is Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmarks successor from the previous season. Connor Hellebuyk will look to build off this fantastic milestone in hopes to reach his goal of Winning a Stanley Cup next season.
«Just having those guys around, I think they might enjoy it more than I do, just because they're not around this every single day,» Hellebuyck said. «I at least play the game, so I get a touch of it here and there. Just having them around, it means the world to me, because I really wouldn't be here without them.»
The honourable mentions for the award were Vancouver Canucks Thatcher Demko and Stanley Cup winning goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. Hellebuyk ranked second in the NHL in wins and save percentage and was one of the the formidable forces in the league all season.
Congratulations to Connor Hellebuyk on making the city of Winnipeg extremely proud for the second time in his carreer.
