This season will prove to be a make or break year of John Tortorella and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Philadelphia Flyers' John Tortorella is also at risk. Known for his fiery demeanor, Tortorella has led the Flyers to a 69-71-24 record since being hired in 2022. The Flyers missed the playoffs by four points last season, partly due to Tortorella's controversial decisions, such as benching captain Sean Couturier. Success this season, particularly with developing young talent, is crucial for Tortorella's future.
Theres been lots of turmoil surrounding the Philadelphia Flyers as of late. With uncertainties looming around goaltender Carter Hart and the potential relocation of star forward Travis Konecny, the Flyers are in dire straits.
John Tortorella will need to find a way to rally his troop ahead of the 2024-2024 NHL season. If the Flyers fail to make the playoffs again, one can only think that John Tortorella's job is as sure as gone.
