Former Winnipeg Jets backup goaltender Laurent Brossoit is embracing his new role in Chicago.

Despite being the new guy in town, the 31 year seems to be embracing the opportunity for a fresh start in an up and coming organization with promising prospects.
«I think (Chicago) has a bright future,» Brossoit said. «If you look at what they've done the last three years, something like eight first-rounders in the last three years. Bedard is a big name there. Obviously, there's a bit of a Bedard effect where you hear rumblings about a lot of different players who are willing to go to Chicago over the free agency frenzy»

Brossoit also comments on the opportunity to potentially move up the ranks from a backup goaltender to potentially the Blackhawks #1 during the 2024-25 NHL regular season.
«Of course, the goaltending position, I think there's room for an opportunity there for me. I thought it was a great organizational position for me to come in and have a couple years to prove that I can be the stabilizing factor back there. That was kind of a big piece to it.»

There will be an intense showdown between Mrazec and Brossoit to see who emerges as the starter. Nonetheless, the pair will make an electrifying duo.
