A massive trade rumour has surface between the Winnipeg Jets and the Buffalo Sabres.

Sources have speculated Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is potentially looking at a blockbuster trade concerning Nikolaj Ehlers and Alex Iafallo in return for Sabres forward Alex Tuch.
The proposed trade would see the Sabres parting ways with Alex Tuch, who carries a cap hit of $4.75 million and a 2025 second-round draft pick. In return, the Jets would send Nikolaj Ehlers, with a cap hit of $6 million, and Alex Iafallo, with a cap hit of $4 million, to Buffalo.
The trade would imply significant cap space relief for the Winnipeg and they would be receiving a proven NHL veteran with still plenty of upside to his game. Tuch would bring experience, skills, and size to the mix and has been a fan favourite in Buffalo since being acquired.
Although losing Nikolaj Ehlers and Alex Iafallo would be a hefty price to pay, no one can argue the value that Alex Tuch could bring to the Jets organization.
Last season for the buffalo Sabres, Alex Tuch notched 22 goals and 37 assists for 59 points combined and was a +9 rating on the ice.
