Exciting news for Winnipeg Jets enthusiasts as one of their top prospects Nikita Chibrikov has been invited to the NHLPA's rookie showcase.

Winnipeg Jets forward prospect Nikita Chibrikov will join 32 other NHL prospects at the 2024 NHLPA Rookie Showcase.
The 14th annual event will take place at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia - the home training facility of the Washington Capitals.
Dobber Prospects describes Chibrikov as an offence-minded play-making winger with excellent vision, anticipation and high-end skating ability. Has good hands, a great shot and competes hard in the offensive zone. He needs to work on cleaning up his defensive play to become a complete player. With proper development and patience, he can become a top-six forward and a contributor on the power play.
Although this comes a great news for Jets enthusiast who have been keeping a close eye on Chibrikov's development, fans are wondering why top prospect Brad Lambert won't be attending the showcase as well.
Chibirikov, the 21-year-old Moscow, RU. product, was called up from the Manitoba Moose in the Jets' final game of the season. He scored his first career NHL goal in that game. The 2021 50th overall pick had 17 goals and 47 points in 70 games in his first AHL season with Manitoba.
