Breaking news out of the Philadelphia Flyers as one of their top goalie prospect announces he is leaving the organization.

Alexei Kolosov, a top Russian goalie prospect for the Flyers announced that he will be leaving immediately for his home country due to "mistreatment" of the organization.
Drafted in the 3rd round (78th overall) in 2021, Kolosov generated excitement with strong KHL performances as an 18-year-old. However, his stint with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, specifically the AHL's Lehigh Valley, left him unhappy.

Kolosov suited up for two games for AHL's Lehigh Valley and felt extremely alone. The young prospect opened up about being cooped up alone in a hotel despite limited English speaking skills. This sedentary lifestyle and a shortage of opportunities as the third string goalie contributed to his tough choice.
Citing "nonexistent team culture" and a "lack of direction" within the Flyers, Kolosov returned to Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. Despite this setback, he remains a highly regarded NHL prospect. Scouts believe he may return to North America as a free agent ready for the NHL.
