Ranking Alternate Jerseys in Winnipeg Jets recent History

In terms of regular season success its hard to look past what Winnipeg has accomplished sporting a record of 519-381-95. They've found ways to win over these years and have kept pace during the regular season with past power teams such as the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Chicago Blackhawks, which during this era of hockey were dynasty's.

The Jets' regular season success had positioned the team to be constant year in and year out contenders for Lord Stanley Cup and they've continued to do so while looking fashionable in these stellar-looking Jerseys. The classic Jets home and away jerseys have become a pinnacle around the league when talking about the top ranked jerseys in the hockey world. With new alternate jerseys cycling through to keep things fresh, we look to rank alternate jerseys from recent memory and show love to ones that deserved more attention.

The Jets unveiled this jersey for there Heritage Classic game against Calgary in a 2-1 win for the team. The win was a special one for the team and they have since kept this jersey in their current rotation of uniforms as one of the alternates still used today. This home style version of the 2016 Heritage Classic uniform was a huge hit for the team and its fans. This remains one of its go-to jerseys when the team needs a change from the standard home option.

Obviously the second jersey that comes to mind when ranking is the 2016 Heritage Classic white. Like the previous jersey on the list, this Alternate brings back tradition as well as a fresh new rendition of the classic 90's Jets uniform.

A true modern take to the Jets classic 90's jersey that still gives us the vintage jersey feel. The heightened blue tones make this jersey truly stand out and gives it an ice cold tone that symbolizes the city of Winnipeg during the classic whiteout celebrations in the playoffs.

This last season the Winnipeg Jets celebrated the Royal Canadian Air Force's Centennial 100th anniversary with a jersey paying homage to 1948 RCAF Flyers. The "Forty-Eight". During which has quickly became a fan favorite and another wonderful addition to their growing jersey rotation, a rotation which has now reached four jerseys. The lines through the middle make this jersey feel not as clean as our prior picks but still a very good option.

Grey has never been an easy option to use for a hockey jersey colour, but these alternates its probably the best they could've done. The overall build of the jersey is filled with positive, but that this jersey could have truly been a knock out in the classic white look. The team recognized its short comings and changed for its 2022 Reverse Retro design.

The effort for this Alternate was there when trying for a different for a third jersey and for a lot of Jets fans these jerseys are their favorite, but most others it just didn't work. When thinking of past Jets alternates this jersey truly missed its mark.
