Breaking news out of Winnipeg as the Jets have appointed two new assistant coaches.

Dean Chynoweth and Davis Payne will be Scott Arniel's two new assistant coaches to debut the 2024-2025 season. These two new hires bring ample experience and veteran guidance to the team and will be instrumental to the Jets success moving forward.
«After a thorough interview process, I feel we've found two great individuals to help push our team forward,» said Winnipeg Jets Head Coach Scott Arniel. «Both Dean and Davis bring with them a great deal of enthusiasm as well as a tremendous amount of team success and experience on the development side of coaching, having worked with veterans and young players alike. Both have excelled in the area of specialty teams with top-10 power plays and penalty killing units. I am excited by what both can offer our staff and our players.»

Chynoweth was serving as assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs the past three seasons and Payne was the assistant bench boss for the Ottawa Senators. This is a great hire by general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff as both these coaches have played and coached at the professional level and know exactly what it takes to be successful in the NHL. Lets see if they can help push the Jets group to Stanley Cup glory.
