The buzz around Winnipeg Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty continues to grow as we reach the midway point of the NHL off season.
The Bleacher Report has come out with an interesting trade scenario regarding the Jets disgruntled Rutger McGroarty and former ducks all-star Trevor Zegras.
McGroarty going to the Ducks would make sense given their current rebuild status and he might even be able to help them advance through that stage and into the "playoff hopeful" category. Would Zegras-for-McGroarty be the kind of trade both Winnipeg and Anaheim would be happy making?
Many fans question the trade as Zegras has been calling California home since his emergence in the NHL.
Although southern Manitoba isn't exactly as pretty as California, maybe a change of scenery for Zegras to an electrifying hockey market is what he needs to get his game going.
in 31 regular season games last season, Zegras notched 6 goals and 9 assists and was a -1 rating on the ice.
