The hockey world is in mourning today as a tragic accident has taken the life of Noah Latimer and has left 3 of his teammates injured.
Noah Latimer and three of his teammates were enjoying their weekend at the cottage on Prince Edward Island, where suddenly a fire broke out causing the worst news imaginable.
At approximately 5:40 a.m., Queens District RCMP, alongside the New Glasgow Fire Department, North Rustico Fire Department, and EMS, arrived at the scene following a report of a cottage fire. Upon arrival, the RCMP officers found the structure fully engulfed in flames.
Although his 3 teammates managed to escape the burning structure while sustaining injuries, Latimer ultimately fell victim to the incident and unfortunately passed away.
Noah Latimer was a cherished and integral member of the Truro Junior ‘A' Bearcats Ice Hockey team, earning the admiration and respect of teammates, coaches, and fans alike. He joined the Bearcats in the 2021/22 season, bringing with him a passion for the game and a commitment to excellence that quickly made him a standout player.
