As the NHL offseason reaches is closing point, the media has been buzzing with all their predictions heading into next season.

One noteworthy prediction that has Winnipeg Jets enthusiasts upset is the regression of Vezina winning goaltender Connor Hellebuck.
Connor Hellebuyck had himself another very impressive season going 37-19-4, but did really struggle in the first round. It's tough to remain at a very high level in net for an entire season, never mind multiple in a row.

Hellebuyck has done that with a .920 SV% in 2022-23 and a .921 SV% in 2023-24, winning the Vezina Trophy. He has yet to go three consecutive seasons with over a .920 SV% and the team is not a Stanley Cup contender. I don't expect him to be bad by any means, just not a Vezina finalist this time around.

Hellebuck has previously struggled with posting three consecutive seasons with a save percentage over .920. In addition to his consistency issues, the Winnipeg Jets have taken a huge step back this year regarding their back end.
With huge question marks pertaining to the Jets third defensive pairing, the media is hinting that Hellebuyck wont have the sufficient support in order to have another all-star season. The Jets are still in "win now" mode, and if anyone can prove doubters wrong, its Connor Hellebuyck.
