With the highly anticipated NHL regular season approaching, fans look to Winnipeg Jets prospect Colby Barlow to have a breakout season.

Barlow struggled heavily with injuries last season playing for the OHL's Owen Sound. A season plagued with injuries resulted in a significant decrease in offensive production, especially in the assist department.
The big question remains is wether Barlow is NHL ready or not. It was recently announced that Barlow has been selected for team Canada's summer showcase happening in a few weeks time. If Barlow manages to crack the world juniors roster, his case becomes increasingly bullish regarding landing a spot on the Jets.
But if he can further develop his playmaking abilities along with his skating to add to his already elite shot, he will be ready to compete for an NHL job in the 2025-26 season. Doing all of that while being a strong leader and captain should give Jets fans plenty of hope for his NHL future.

Barlow will be looking to come back to hockey stronger and healthier than last season. Although Barlow makes a strong case for himself potentially being NHL ready, its looking like a year developing in the AHL for the Manitoba Moose is imminent.
