With still plenty of time remaining in the NHL offseason, we take a look at some of the major offseason objectives still remaining for the Winnipeg Jets.

The Winnipeg Jets offseason has been heavily scrutinized so far. With only a handful of underwhelming acquisitions under GM Kevin Cheveldayoff's belt, the Jets look to make some moves before the clock runs out.
"I believe the biggest priority from a roster construction standpoint remains a top-four, right-shot defenceman."

One gap the Winnipeg Jets need to fill as soon as possible is finding a competent right hand shot defenseman. Looking ahead at the projected starting defensive pairings, its clear that the Jets are seriously under water in that category and will need to recruit some help.
Secondly, the Jets will need to find a suitable center for their second line. The Jets still need to sign forward Cole Perfetti, but many Jets enthusiasts are worried that Perfetti wont be able to provide the sustained size or skill necessary to be impactful enough.
With tradable assets still in play regarding Nikolaj Ehlers and top prospect Rutger McGroarty, theres still plenty of time for GM Cheveldayoff to get the job done.
