Now that the dust has finally settled in the NHL, The Winnipeg Jets announce their priorities for the highly anticipated NHL off season.

Kevin Cheveldayoff's job as general manager is arguably one of of the tougher ones this off season. With just over $13 million dollars of free cap space available, he will need to be extremely diligent where we he spends his money. With the budget in mind, heres what the Winnipeg aim to do in the coming weeks:
Step 1 for the Jets this off-season will be trying to re-sign their unrestricted and restricted free agents. Sean Monahan, Tyler Toffoli, Brenden Dillon, and Laurent Brossoit.

Next on the Jets off-season checklist will be the NHL draft, which gets underway in Vegas this Friday and Saturday. Jets may look to trade Nikolaj Ehlers and Rutger McGroarty. These 2 players could return the Jets some additional draft picks on draft night.

Finally, the biggest day of the NHL off-season, July 1st, the beginning of free agency. The Jets should look for a left-handed defence (to replace Dillon), a veteran, established backup goalie (to replace Brossoit), and a scoring winger (to replace Toffoli).

These next few weeks will definitely be entertaining to say the least. With blockbuster trades for Kevin Cheveldayoff on the horizon, there will be no shortage of fun for Winnipeg Jets enthusiast.
