The Boston Bruins enter a crucial period of their off season as they have ranked in the league bottom in prospect depth.

Given that the Bruins' prospect pool is ranked among the worst in the NHL, it is not too surprising to hear that they have a youngster like McGroarty on their radar. If acquired, he would be a significant addition to their group and instantly become their best prospect.

McGroarty has an absolute beast of a season in the NCAA last seaason. In just 36 regular season games, the Jets top prospect notched 16 goals and 52 points in 36 games for the University of Michigan. Notably, McGroarty was also the team Captain for the American squad during the World Juniors last season.
Rutger McGroarty is a top prospect that the Boston Bruins absolutely need to have. This comes as a crucial pick up for the Bruins as they need to make every effort to bolster their farm system if they want any chance of being sustainable contenders down in the coming years.
Bruins general manager Don Sweeny is reported to have started negotiations with Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff to see if they can strike a deal. The Bruins are loaded with top 6 depth that could potentially be used as trade bait in a blockbuster trade that would send shockwaves down the NHL.
