After all the negative noise surrounding Rutger McGroarty, the focus is now shifting to Jets prospect Brad Lambert.

Its not secret that Rutger McGroarty doesn't want to be in Winnipeg. The gossip about McGroarty exploded after Elliot Friedman disclosed on his 32 thoughts podcast that the Jets top prospect was "unhappy" with the organization and wants out.
With McGroarty heading out the door, we turn our heads to an electrifying Jets prospect who actually wants to make a name for himself in Winnipeg, Brad Lambert.
Brad Lambert, 20, was a first round draft pick by the Jets selected 30th overall during the 2022 NHL draft in Montreal. With all the lack of progress regarding GM Kevin Cheveldayoff's UFA signings, the pressure is mounting on the Jets prospects to step up this season.
Following an exciting day at the Jets summer development camp, Brad Lambert made himself available for a brief media availability and had some encouraging words.
"It's awesome, I'm super excited. Obviously, there's a lot of work ahead of me this summer, so that's kind of my thought process, is just taking it a day at a time - so that come training camp, I'm ready to compete.»

Its refreshing to see a Jets top prospect with the right mentality prepared to do the hard work. Brad Lambert is the opposite of a "prima donna" and is poised to have a breakout season in 2024-2025.
