The Winnipeg Jets arguably have the most prolific talent pool in the NHL.
Colby Barlow is one of the standout propsects within the Jets farm system poised to have a massive season in the OHL. Selected 18th overall by the Winnipeg Jets at the 2023 NHL Draft, Colby Barlow signed a three-year entry-level contract with the team on September 21, 2023.
the 19-year-old forward has played three seasons in the OHL, tallying 184 points in 168 regular season contests. Barlow has additionally recorded 12 points in 15 post-season matchups. The Orillia, Ont. native has had a decorated OHL career, being named to the OHL First All-Rookie Team in 2021-22, and the OHL First All-Star Team in 2022-23. He was awarded OHL and CHL Scholastic Player of the Year honours in 2022-23.

Barlow also has experience at the national level winning gold for Canada at the 2023 U-18 Hlinka Gretzky cup, also winning bronze at the 2023 U18 IIHF World Junior Championship.
In addition to his impressive achievements at the junior level, Barlow was recently selected to take part in Canada's summer showcase, an important step towards IIHF World Juniors roster considerations.
Many fans are wondering if this is the year Barlow takes home the OHL's player of the year award. He certainly poses as a threat to be one of the elite talents in the CHL next season for the North Bay Battalion.
