As we approach the climax of the NHL off-season, we take a look at some potential UFA's Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff should consider looking at.

Matt Dumba is a veteran defenceman in the NHL. The prime of his career was spent playing on the blue line for the Minnesota Wild, but has bounced around the league a little bit where he spent last season playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have recently announced that they are no longer interested in keeping Matt Dumba and will opt out on re-signing the vetted defenceman next season. Dumba will test his luck in the open market as a free agent to try and revamp his game elsewhere.
Sources have speculated that the Winnipeg Jets should take a strong look at Matt Dumba as he could potentially be a cheap pick up and could help bolster the Jets blue line on third pairing next season.
Jets will look to infuse some new talent, especially on the right-side of the defense core. Dumba's a perfect fit, he can kill penalties, loves to block shots and play a stay-at-home style. Playing in Winnipeg is as close to a home-coming as possible so it makes a lot of sense this summer.

Could we see Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff explore the options on bringing the the Saskatchewan native back to the prairies? It certainly poses as an interesting opportunity.
