As we finally conclude the NHL season, drama intensifies for the Winnipeg Jets coming into the off-season.
Sources are speculating that theres a strong possibility Winnipeg Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff will be trading forward Nikolaj Ehlers before the 2024 NHL draft.
Ehlers has been linked to the Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and Ottawa Senators in the rumor mill. Ates noted the Hurricanes are listening to offers for winger Martin Necas while the Senators could shop defenseman Jakob Chychrun.
Both Necas and Chychrun would be ideal fits playing for Winnipeg as they are experienced players with high-end skill. Although, the suggested trade has frustrated many Jets enthusiasts as they would love to see their beloved forward stay with the franchise.
