During a press conference, Winnipeg Jets head coach spoke about forward Cole Perfetti.
A big question mark for the Winnipeg Jets this offseason has been Cole Perfetti. Perfetti currently remains unsigned, but GM Kevin Cheveldayoff has stated that getting his contract done remains a priority for the team.
Cole Perfetti has bounced around a little bit concerning his position on the ice. The Jets fanbase has seen him flip flop between the wing and the center position in hopes of Perfetti gaining traction in one of the two spots.
Although Perfetti is still technically a free agent, head coach Scott Arniel didn't hesitate to comment on Perfetti's position pertaining to his personal preferences.
«I do prefer (Perfetti) on the wing, but at the end of the day, it is his natural position,» said Arniel. «We'll just kind of play that out. Vladdy will probably get a good look there as well. He showed us last year that he can do it. You never know what happens.
The head coach didn't rule out Cole Perfetti being considered to move from wing back to centre, but it seems that coach Arniel prefers Perfetti on the wing rather than the center position and feels he will me more effective there.
