Breaking news out of Winnipeg as the Jets have lost their signing rights to Harrison Blaisdell and Logan Neaton.

Blaidell and Neaton were former 5th round draft picks by the Jets in 2019. Kevin Cheveldayoff exceeded his August 15th deadline to sign both these players and the Jets have now lost their exclusive signing rights.
A product of University of Michigan, Logan was limited to just three games each of his first couple of seasons there. He would transfer to Miami University (Ohio) where he would spend the next three years including last campaign in 2023-24 playing 29 games for the RedHawks. It was his best goals against average in college with a 3.24 although his save percentage was .894. Neaton was last around these parts in 2023 at a Development Camp.

Blaisdell was taken 10 spots head in the 5th round by Winnipeg with the Saskatchewan product a commit to U. of North Dakota. He spent two years with them before he entered the transfer portal and spent the last three seasons at the U. of New Hampshire. Last season was his most productive as he had 11 goals and three assists for 14 points in 32 games.

The road is now uncertain regarding these two former Jets prospects. Although Neaton was added as a depth goaltender to the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals last season, theres no guarantees the goaltender will crack the roster this year.
