The buzz around Winnipeg Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty has been non stop this week.

Sources have now confirmed that the Jets divisional rival Minnesota Wild are the latest team to be aggressively keeping their eye on Winnipeg Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty.
Rutger McGroarty was the 14th overall pick for the Jets in 2022 and has been the centre of attention this week as hockey insider Elliot Friedman announced McGroarty's dissatisfaction with the Jets organization. What would a deal look like between the Jets and the Wild?
Marco Rossi was the ninth overall pick in 2020 by Minnesota. this seems like something the team would do. McGroarty is fast, he's 6-foot-1, plays physical, is aggressive, and can score. All of which the Wild are looking to find in a player. Rossi, 22, is coming of a season where he played in all 82 games and scored 21 goals. He was a nominee for the Bill Masterton Award and finished the season with 40 points and 35 hits.
Although Marco Rossi is a solid player, many are speculating that McGroarty is a generational talent and the future of the Jets franchise. If a trade were to come to fruition, the Wild would likely need to throw a draft pick as well to sweeten the deal.
