After another disappointing NHL season, fans are calling for a change of a big change in Jets management.

Fans seem to be upset with the Jets general manager after a disappointing start to their highly anticipated NHL off-season which has seen the likes of three highly talented UFA's leave the organization such as Laurent Brossoit, Sean Monahan, and Tyler Toffoli.
Obviously, these three players were poised for a massive bump in pay. Fans understand that the Winnipeg Jets only had roughly $13 million dollars in open cap space to work with, but the bottom line is that Cheveldayoff wasn't proactive enough leading up to free agency to open space up in his budget.
In addition, fans seem to be upset that Cheveldayoff decided to bring back Jets former goaltender Eric Comrie from the Buffalo Sabres as a backup to Connor Hellebuyk. Comrie's tenure as a goalie in Buffalo is by no means indicative as a suitable backup who can get the job done.
Also, Kevin Cheveldayoff definitely had some trade bait available to work with. Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty could've been a huge incentive for the Jets to steal a first round pick in the 2024 NHL draft, but Chevy stood by idly as a prime opportunity passed to scoop up some high end talent.
