A recent video has surfaced on youtube regarding some of the challenges the Jets franchise face.

The City of Winnipeg is a great city to be a part of. The argument might be somewhat biased, but the Jets face difficulties in recruiting high-end talent that seek out the opportunity to play in Winnipeg.
41% of active NHL players say Winnipeg is their least-favorite road city to play in according to The Athletic's annual anonymous player poll.
Is there a reason for all the headache? Its no secret that the Jets are arguably the smallest market in the NHL. Based on their arena size, downtown amenities, and the population of the city, there are certainly factors that aren't exactly favourable for the organization.
There is a conversation to be had regarding the high tax implications that comes with playing in a Canadien market. On top of the salary cap restrictions that come with taxes, the weather plays a huge part in the overall sentiment concerning playing in Winnipeg.
Overall, the city of Winnipeg is passionate about hockey. Players should relish in the opportunity to play in the NHL, regardless of the destination.
