As we await the debut of the highly anticipated 2024-2025 NHL season, we take a long a the major keys to the Jets success.

The Jets prospects have been called into action by Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. Recently, it was announced that "the ball is in their court" hinting at the opportunities that lie ahead for the teams youth. With that being said, the major key for the Jets moving forward is...just letting the kids play.
Arniel insists that the NHL's youth are «vital» to team success, especially in the salary cap era. To simultaneously improve the team and win fan favour, Arniel should try increasing Perfetti's ice time and role on the team. In 71 games, Perfetti recorded 38 points with an average time on ice of 13:35, and if Arniel allows him to reach somewhere between 15 and 17 minutes a night, his stats will only go up.

Arniel may also finally be the one to give Ville Heinola a roster spot. Heinola may be a key piece in filling the hole left in the defense. In 41 games with the Manitoba Moose, Heinola record 27 points, and if he can translate that success to the NHL, the Jets will be in good shape. Arniel also has several other prospects to work with, such as Brad Lambert and Nikita Chibrikov, who both made their NHL debuts last season.

Its time for the Jets management to practice what they preach. If Cheveldayoff and Arniel both believe that the clubs future success lies in the hands of their young guns, they will need to put them in a prime position to succeed.
Jets fans can anticipate lots of ice-time being dished out to the young core of the team. In addition, Jets fans shouldn't be surprised with a continuous flow of Manitoba Moose prospects making their way into the Jets starting rotation on a nightly basis. The time is now for the Jets youth to shine bright.
