A recent article by the Hockey Writers has recently been published highlighting some of the most iconic trades in Winnipeg Jets history.

Evander Kane's emergence into the Jets 2.0 was automatic as he was a previous member of the Atlanta Thrashers. Although Kane was a talented sniper for the Jets, he was known as a notorious locker room cancer.
The height of the locker room chaos ensued after Kane showed up to practice wearing a track suit with no association to the hockey team. In a fit of rage, Dustin Byfuglien threw his clothes into the shower which caused tensions to lose control.
It was clear the arrogant Kane was more trouble than he was worth and a week after the incident, the Jets sent him to the Buffalo Sabres along with Zach Bogosian for Joel Armia, Brenden Lemieux, Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, and a 2015 first-round pick they used to select Jack Roslovic.

It's clear that the Winnipeg Jets made the right decision trading Kane away. They clearly won that trade and ridded themselves of a locker room cancer in the process.
